The Three of Us

Last year I was in Texas on Valentines without the hubby. This year we saw each other for about an hour and a half. Things are looking up :) Good thing I have my gal by my side.

This morning we went and visited the fabulous Emily and met the irresistable Noah. Seriously, the cutest mug on that kid. While I was holding him his entire face melted into this endearing, wrinkled, upset look that was so adorable, I didn't even notice the accompanying cries. I can't wait for a newborn in my house.
We took a brisk stroll to The Cupcakery for a little Valentine's Day treat. Oooh, baby. Abbey and I shared a Grasshopper special. She totally pulled the 'if I lick and touch all the frosting before mom gets a bite, it's all mine' move. Nice try. Doesn't phase me anymore kid. I think it's such a bonding thing to take your little one out for a special treat so I was glad we got to do it today.
Justin wanted to take me out to dinner, but I declined. Why? All because I saw a recipe for this dessert and got stuck on the idea of doing dinner at home.
So I spent the rest of the afternoon making a special dinner for these two cheese balls. Hey! They're MY cheese balls and I love 'em. It was nice. Just the three and two-thirds of us. I love any reason to make a day fun. Especially days in gloomy February.
She wasn't as impressed with my dessert making skills.

I love that Abbey is wearing less and less clothes as the day goes by. :) That dessert looks so good!

What a cool dessert! How did you make it?!

Your little one is the most adorable little gal ever. I just can't handle the piggy tails and that sweet stitched sweater. OH! Why don't you live within driving distance (read: driving distance minus deer incidents)?

How do your rolls turn out so lovely?

I wish I could have been at your house for Valentine's. Your dessert looks fab. I'm sure it is fat free too!! You need to post the recipe for all of us to enjoy, not that I will be able to make it or anything but I'm willing to give it a try!

thanks for a fun visit and cupcake outing! You're nice to compliment Noah on his personality, rather then admit his fussiness flaws! :)

Your dessert was bee-yoo-ti-ful!!

I miss you guys! Seeing Justin's smile/laugh makes me realize I haven't see either of you in a year and I've only seen Abby once when she was born because when slept over in Missouri she was in bed by the time we got there and we left at the crack of dawn.

ashley- hadn't been to your blog for a little while...cute doo...awesome dessert- is that ice cream or a mousse kind of thing?
I agree with Allison- Abbey is SO cute in those pigtails and sweater!!! I totally agree with the joy in taking your toddler to a special treat out. I do that with Lucy- often it's ice cream. It's woman bonding really, you can feel it- a girl's always a girl I guess, right?

When did you take up skydiving?

Oi! Thanks for reminding me! Justin thought it would be funny to go through and mess with my blog. I need to change it back--sweeping? He's so random.
