Something's in the Air

How the... When did this...Where was...How is it Labor Day already?!?

We ushered in Autumn yesterday with a barbeque. I hit the neighbor jackpot when we moved in and met my next-door neighbor, Jeannie (who Abbey insists on calling 'Miss Tina'). Soon after she introduced me to these ladies who live over the little bridge across the creek in our backyards (that's a lot of prepositions...)

The men smoked a pig, the kids played HARD, we sat and talked for hours and hours; that's my kind of day.

{Hayden will sit with anyone who will give her a little sugar :) }

Summer is over and I'm feeling a bit anxious. For the last four Fall seasons straight I have either had extreme morning sickness or extreme sleep depravation from a new baby. The chill in the air, the smell of spices and baking, the feel of my sweaters and jackets--all of it takes me back to that time and my body actually feels nauseous. Isn't that weird? But there is this beauty and deliciousness to look forward to:

I am excited for fall too, but missing the fall weather:( It feels like the heat is never ending in Florida. Your girls are adorable as always and it kills me how big Miss Hayden is getting. Miss you!

I LOVE Fall, too. It makes me excited to cook again and pull out those hearty recipes. Super cute shot of Hayden picking the first!

I totally feel that way too! I was sick just thinking of fall last year. This year isn't as bad, but I'm not happy about it. I love the last picture, too.

Wow - your friends' profiles are SO similar in that picture with Hayden and the popsicle. Are they sisters? Or did someone ELSE find their profile twin?! :)

Mmm...smoked pig. I know what you mean about feeling nauseous. I used to love Taylor Swift music, but for some reason when pregnant it made me nauseous. It still does...wierd huh?!?

Our kids birthdays are about the same time, and with both Grant and Evan I was due around the same time as you (though you were always due a little a head of me). Alyssa was born at the same time of year as Grant, so this is my first fall in 6 years that I do not have a baby or morning sickness. I completely know what you mean. I feel like I should be getting pregnant right now, because well.. that is just what I do around this time haha!
