If You're Happy and You Know It...

A few things that have made me happy this weekend:

1) Getting three boxes of highly anticipated Girl Scout Cookies

2) Mini Cadbury Eggs now in stock. Need I say more?

3) J was ping pong champ at the 12th Annual Fenton Ward Chili Cookoff and Ping Pong Tournament last night. It wasn't so much that he won that makes me happy--it's the way he keeps proudly bringing it up; 'So..did they mention the ping pong champion today in sacrament?' No, sorry honey. But so glad this gives you such joy and bragging rights.

4) Although my chili was not even honorably mentioned (I thought of you, Melissa), the cake I made for the YW Cake Auction went for $43! I went more for looks than taste, so I hope the couple who bought it enjoyed. Sorry, no pictures. J wouldn't help me look for the camera before we left because he's a little bitter that I didn't take a picture of his 'award winning pumpkin' from the Halloween Party. But it was a double layer, chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. Then I put fresh, chocolate dipped strawberries on top. It's enough chocolate to make any lady happy. A newly engaged guy bought it for his fiancee--smart man.

5) My kid pulling quirky stunts like this all weekend. I didn't have any hand in the wardrobe choice, she put those boots on herself! Do you think I could get away with strolling my babies down the road in this getup? Her stroller had a blanket, two babies, and an entire drawer of shirts. Always prepared. I love this new stage--it is so fun to walk in and find her with funny outfits or giving herself a bath in her baby doll tub.

My sweet girl climbed up on the chair with me as I was reading this post and said, "BRIDGET!" when she saw the pictures of Abbey. Nope, just a kindred spirit. :)

Ashley, you are quite the chef! That amazes me because I surely am not :( . And about the girl scout cookies I hope your order included Thin Mints!!

abbey's boots are bringing me back to the classic maynard dancers that so daintily strutted their moves during the USU Bball half time games, except for abbey's are 10 times cuter and about 75 years younger looking.

k, if you weren't there for those maynards dancing (they only came like twice), then you will have to ask J about it to see if he recalls. hilarious!

Oh yeah, I remember. They were awesome! Let's start a group like that in 50 years, are you in?

43 bucks! Wow, you should start a business. Cadbury eggs are also tops of my list as of late. Unfortunately my kids found them and they also enjoy them. I'll have to stock up before the season ends. Abs is a DOLL! I love the age she is when crazy is all you ever find. Fun stuff.

Girl Scouts, those little temptresses with their cookies. My mouth is watering a little over the thought of Samoas.

And the Golden Girls Dancing Grannies - we saw them TWICE this year! We went to the USU/WSU game at Weber and they were the halftime show. And the ONE game we caught in Logan this year, they graced us with their presence again. Awesome.

Cadbury - I have already plowed my way through one bag this season. I told Noah that this weekend felt like a chubby weekend, and I was looking forward to a more regular exercise routine this week, but in truth - the sugar coated chocolatey goodness probably played a large role.

That cake sounds incredible!! Where is the camera when you need it? Seriously, I am in the mood for a chocolate Ashley-made cake now....

Oh, and I forgot to say that I have been searching the stores for the mini cadbury eggs ever since February. I finally found them at the store the other day and grabbed them while I was racing to the checkout (we had been there awhile and all three of us wanted to get home). On the drive home I opened them up and popped one in my mouth.... Wait a minute..... I BOUGHT DARK CHOCOLATE!! I was so mad!! :)

Brutal! The me two years ago would have turned right back around, but I know how labor intensive grocery shopping is these days. I'm just glad you got yourself some milk for Benny :)

Thanks for the shout-out. I'm still nursing my wounds from that one. $43 would have been a nice pick-me-up.
