Here Comes the Sun...Again

Today I glanced at Abbey and was taken back for a second. When did she become so irresistable? And when did she start looking and acting like a little girl? Oh, I'm so thankful for this kid. I want to do a big ol' thankful list because I have been anything but grateful the last few months.

I had a huge post written up about how unbearable the last few months have been with this pregnancy. But then, who wants to read that garbage? The jist of it was, I looked at this little face today and was so grateful that I have the chance to be a parent. Period. I have a wicked first tri-mester that ends up in easy deliveries and a beautiful, healthy kid. So that's my trial. And I'm pretty lucky that that is my trial. The past week has been awesome as I got on some new, dramatic medications and am lovin' life. I asked Justin if it would be weird if I bore my testimony about a prescription. I think of love letters to send the makers. I should become a spokesperson, really. Well, a spokesperson for the generic that came out this year so I could afford to be on it... It's actually a drug for chemo patients and the name brand was $650 for 30 pills. Yikes.

We had a gorgeous fall morning here. I feel like I missed out on fall but it stretched long enough for us to enjoy it today. So life is good. We are happy. Go Zofran.

I hope that it doesn't bother you that I offer unsolicited advice. I have heard zofran and or phenegren work miracles but can also cause *this is gross* horrible constipation. I have not expiernced this first hand thank goodness, but have heard this from a Dr I use to work with. Also I knew a few patient pretty well that shared that little gem with me :)

Have you tried taking half of a sominex or unisome along with 50 mg B6. I heard that this is a great thing to try before going to Zofran, just because it doesn't have that unpleasant side effect.

Of course this is all unsolicited, so you can ignore all of the above, and simply take from this post that I think your little girl is cute, and I like your positive attitude.

It's me again! I have gone back and forth on delete my above message, I honestly hate giving unsolicited advice. I feel even worse after re-reading your deep love for Zofran :) Then again you can make a preemptive fiber filled strike with above mention knowelegde in case your Dr didn't fill you in. So take me with a grain of salt that is all.

Hi! I hope that you're not creeped out that a stranger reads your blog :) But I have been reading it, and I really like it. I have to take Zofran too (I get sick the whole 9 months of pregnancy) and I can definitely say that zofran is a MIRACLE pill. I say if it makes you feel better--take it :) What is the name of the generic? That's GREAT news that it'll be cheaper for us next time!

Yes, Raelynn, I want to shout it from the rooftops. "There's a generic! You can afford it! And it may or may not cause constipation!"

Thanks Jill! :)

I was just going to comment that my friend raelynn took zofran during her pregancy and that was the ONLY thing that saved her...but no need...she's already commented. she's one of my best high school friends. :)
anyway, i just wanted to tell you that i really wish you still lived in hanbury, we would live across the parking lot from each other. FUN and dang.

Phenegran did nothing for me but make me sleep. Hallelujah for Zofran! Except, hopefully I'll never need to fill a prescription for it because I hopefully will never have need for morning sickness. I can't believe how big Abbey is. She is still as adorable as ever!

Cute, cute, cute. She's turned into such a little girl. Isn't it fun to watch them grow...and so weird when they're not babies anymore? I'm excited to see what Baby Pace # 2 will look like!

Val, how awesome would that be? We loved Hanbury but didn't know our neighbors well because we insisted on staying in the 63rd ward---and who wouldn't. How fun would it be to just walk across the street, eat a nice lunch together, and let Abbey and Annie play? Ah..that does sound nice.

Ashley,
Are you sure that Zofran doesn't have some mood enhancers in it too?? I'm so glad you're feeling better. Abbey is looking soo cute!!
Miss you!
