J and I didn't collaborate on gifts for Abbey so there'd be more surprises on Christmas. He bought her this spelling game for the tub--you fish out foam letters with a fishing pole to spell words. I didn't say anything until she started pulling the poles apart, but the box specifically says it isn't appropriate until age 3. (Abbey=18 months). He said "Ash. Our kid is advanced."
Here's what our gifted child spelled:
But the gift was redeemed and gave the parents endless fun when we figured out they stuck to her skin nicely.

Oh man, this picture cracked me up. (No pun intended.) Glad to see you and Justin are staying brushed up on your spelling and 4th grade humor skills. :)
I can't stand it! That is the funniest thing ever. Thanks for the laugh this morning. :)
That's hillarious! We have some of those bath toys...not letters I think they're fish or something. Anyway, I never realized they stick to your skin either. We'll have to try it out next time Jace takes a bath!
Nice. Honestly some of these toys keep parents more entertained than the kids. I put a fizzing dinosaur egg in Ben's bath today and he cowered in the corner until it dissolved. But I liked it. :)
By the way, I am totally going to keep an eye out for those foam letters - they look so cool! I'm sure I could get Jed to bathe Benjamin every night if he (Jed) had a toy like this to play with! :)
Glad the toy worked out in the end.....pun intended. Hilarious. It was good to see you guys. Sorry my large crew was so crazy.
Heh, Heh, Heh! too funny. i lov e it!
that is CLASSIC! I think i like "less-advanced" grown-ups better anyways.
LOL! It's me--your blog stalker again :) This seriously made me bust up. Classic.
Why is it so adorable to see baby bums and never adults? That really is too funny. I like the idea of you both doing your own gifts, that would make it more fun and I'm going to have to remember that for future use!
You guys are hilarious!
lol cute bum bum. Congrats on hitting the 18 month mark. Church must be so nice to sit through now that she is in nursery.
Amen to that. We enjoyed two weeks of it then our fabulous Sunday School teacher got released. Sigh. I'm sure the next one will be great but this lady was so spiritual and knowledgeable that Justin and I did 'rock, paper, scissors' to see who would have to take Abbey out.
Ha ha! That is so CUTE!!!
Awesome! Is that cute or what? LOL
Great idea about not collaborating! We'll have to do that next year.
