Waiting Watching Waiting Waiting

I feel a bit bashful about showing my bare, outie belly button for everyone to see. (That belly button will go back in, right?) There's something so disturbing {and a little gross} yet beautiful about a pregnant belly. We're down to the home stretch. J's mom predicted, nay, decided it would be the 17th. And since she was dead on with Abbey, I'm going with it. Seriously. With Abbey she said it would be the 12th and literally, at the stroke of midnight on the 12th, I went into labor and had her 13 hours later.

Right now I'm as big as I ever got with Abbey. I don't feel like I'm going soon but I also can't imagine holding out three more weeks until my due date. My thoughts are in constant vacillation--I'm ready, I'm not, I'm scared, I'm fired up. I don't plan on being induced but the unknown is getting to me. Well that and the constant fear of my water breaking in public. I honestly wouldn't be too embarassed but I would feel obligated to clean before I left :) I was discussing this with my mother-in-law this week and said I didn't actually remember it being that much of a mess last time. It broke at her house and she begged to differ :)

I also experience those extremely opposing feelings with pregnant bellies--so womanly/so weird. Did my mom compare you to "a ship at full mast with all her sails billowing majestically?". She said somthing to that effect about one of my pregnant friends and the comparison has always stuck with me.

The second child/labor & delivery is definitely on of those times when you know what its like and yet your still not sure you want to do it again, while all the time you have no choice except to proceed. You look absolutely great!

These shots are pure gold. Honestly, I teared up within the first second. You are so wise to capture this. Why oh why was I so shy about this or thinking that it was silly at the time. I would give anything for those waiting shots. OK - the 17th. I am ready. Mom would be thrilled but your new one will also be totally jipped on Mother's Day in her future life.

Water breaking in public was my biggest fear with both of my babies - especially in church! Good Luck, I hope everything goes well :)

My belly doesn't look that good and I'm not even pregnant. You suck! You look amazing and I can't believe you are going to have a baby any time soon. I hope sooner than later =)
Those pictures of your belly and Abbey are one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. I can't wait until the little one arrives and you bet I'll be checking back frequently to see when she does. Good luck with everything, you'll do great!

You are looking so good. I wish we could see you guys again. By the way, that cute adorable little outfit you sent to me, I finally got to put it on Brystal a couple weeks ago. If you see my blog, you will see it on her.
Thanks I love it! I think I"ll get her 6 month pictures in it. Miss you guys!

i freaking love these shots. you will never regret having them. i am glad you decided to post them so I could love them, too. I was a barge on my 2nd baby. It is hard to believe you could get any bigger, but you can. And yes, your belly will totally go down again. No worries. Just hang in there, and wait it out until the baby comes on her own. I so wish I would have done that. Your body knows what to do now so let nature take its course! And good luck!

I love these pics too! Just carry a little hand towel in your purse for the next few weeks! Haha. That would be funny, your water breaks and you whip out a towel from your bag and say, "I knew that would happen! Here, let me help you with that." You know, only 10% of women's water breaks before they go into labor... my sister in law has had 4 kids and her water broke with only one, so hopefully it won't happen again! Good luck!
