It's A She

Poor Hayden. My family has taken to calling her 'Fester' since I started putting her in the bumbo this weekend.

Then today I stopped by my old piano accompianist. I introduced Hayden and she said "Oh..like Coach Hayden." That's what J calls her, but I didn't expect it from an elderly lady! But to her credit, the kid had no bow in and was wearing little red Nike track shorts.

And it doesn't help that I shaved the back of her head this weekend. J was not happy to hear that but really, it looks so much better. She had the startings of a rat tail and now it can all grow in together.

So I now resolve to keep cute headbands on while we're running into old friends here. Or at least keep her in pink. But come on! This kid looks like a girl!

What in the world are you doing up posting so early in the morning? Get some sleep kiddo :)

I love the pic in the mirror. I had to look hard to see if she was picking her nose. Heather

For the record, Uncle Nono was getting his haircut too. Hence, no shirt. My days of hanging out in nothing but shorts are long gone.

I had to shave the back of Joshua's neck all the time when he was a baby for the exact same thing!!! Hayden is TOO DARN CUTE!! Don't you love the Bumbo seat! Gina

Hey I think that she looks adorable. Bumbo's are a great invention. She is such a cute chunky monkey. How much does she way now???? Mady is 7 months and 12 lbs 15 oz. I think it is funny that you shaved her head. Ashlyn loved the rat tail thing for months. It doesn't matter if you would have had her in all pink and a big bow, some people still don't get it. Ha Ha

Ha! Noah beat me to the punch. I was really to leap to his defense and reassure the blogosphere that Noah doesn't just strut around shirtless at the parents' digs. :)

Which accompanist?

Oh...and Karen Barnard. I didn't know if it was fair to call her elderly but I didn't want to take a shot at guessing her age. I'm embarassingly bad at that. And I really should have put my thoughts together before I posted all these comments...

Remember? I lost my mind? So I cannot be trusted with valuables until I am sane?

ah yes, seemed to have forgotten that post about the valuables... what mom of toddlers hasn't lost their mind to a certain extent? i can never seem to remember things..especially things of importance.

and i only kid about the ring because we're never wearing ours anymore for one reason or another...golf, showering, dishes, pool...they're NEVER on!

Yes, she definitely looks like a girl!! :) She's a cutie! I love that outfit at the end - the brown one. And that's funny that she got her first haircut. :)

OH my, she is a beauty!!! I love her cheeks!!! She is totally a girl all the way. I hope you girls are surviving the dreaded away rotations. I think they are harder on the dad, especially when you go home (I did the same) for some family support.
